Dynamic Random Access Memory(DRAM)
- DRAM is used as a main memory of a pc .
- Stores operating system files applications and data while they are running.
- DRAM stores each bit as an electrical charge within a single bit cell.
- A bit cell consist of a capacitor to hold a charge the cell represents 1 if there is a charge and 0 if there is not and the transistor to read the contents of the capacitor.
- Each bit cell is very small but is the electrical charge gradually discharge, causing the memory cell to be lose its information.
